The Twin Tiers sports scene is one that all local sports enthusiasts take tremendous pride in. For decades, some of the best in athletics have come from our region. From local to professional, the area has been a proving ground for tomorrow's leaders, motivators and educators in sport.

On June 29th, we want to take that tradition to a new level. Our mission is to hold an annual event which honors local sports in our viewing area on one special night. This night will be unique as our goal is to model it after the classic Elmira All-Sports Banquet from years ago. In a modified form, the mission is to invite special guest speakers who were or are in the professional sports world.

Each speaker will be involved in a meet-and-greet session, followed by a speech on their experiences and pursuit of dreams. We're thrilled to have three outstanding pro sports figures join us for the first ever event. Indianapolis Colts offensive line coach Joe Gilbert of Horesheads, Assistant General Manager of the Auburn Doubledays Shane Truman of Big Flats, along with Elmira coaching legend Mike D'Aloisio will serve as our guest speakers. In accomplishing our goal of honoring the best in local sports, an awards presentation will highlight the night. Local awards will be presented to male and female high school MVP's, team of the year, a lifetime achievement award and more. To us, there is no better time to start.
